TODAY'S RANDOM PUB OF THE DAY: THE CAT'S BACK

86-88 Point Pleasant, Wandsworth London, SW18 1NN [map]

Featured in CAMRA's London pub walks guide. Built in 1865 under the original name of "Ye olde house and home". It later became known by it's current name when the owners cat went missing for a month before turning up again safe and sound.

It is off the beaten track and a rather quirky pub with a random assortment of knicks-knacks inside and out. Away from the generic toss it has a changing list of ales on offer. It might not survive the recent poncification of the area but pay it a visit and judge for yourself.
